A SICILIAN TERRACOTTA ASKOS IN THE FORM OF A MOUSE, RANDAZZO GROUP (IVY SERIES)

The vessel modelled in the form of a mouse with pointed nose, black ears and four small feet, an ivy tendril with ten leaves encircling its back, the vase neck with black-glazed rim emerging from the mouse's back, two small ring handles to either side, a narrow spout emerging at the rear end above the tail

Property from the Collection of the Princely House of Liechtenstein; acquired by Prince Johann II (1840-1929) in the late 19th/early 20th Century.
