Side A: a satyr seated on rocky outcrop, with thyrsos, holding out a phiale to a dancing maenad with garland
Side B: two draped youths, one with staff, with stele and pair of halteres in the field
Wave frieze below, laurel wreath beneath the rim, and details in added white

Provenance
The property of a German private collector, inherited from his father Dr Erwin Hoess, Austria. It formed part of the family collection which was started in the 1850s by Prof. Anton Hoess.
