The centre painted with Orpheus playing the lute in a landscape within a circular roundel against an a quartieri ground, each compartment with grotteschi, the well with a band of blue ropetwist ornament between yellow and ochre entrelac bands, the border with grotteschi divided by winged putti heads within an ochre and yellow entrelac band rim (crack from rim at 4 o'clock branching at centre and stapled, three sections of rim broken and repaired with small associated losses and over-painting, rim with some chipping to glaze)
16¼ in. (41.3 cm.) diam.
