CIRCA 1770, INDISTINCT INCISED MARK, THE DECORATION PROBABLY CIRCA 1790 AND POSSIBLY NAPLES
The body covered with a white tin glaze, the centre painted with figures in Neopolitan regional costumes, with a fishmonger in conical iron-red hat, purple jacket and striped trousers offering fish to a lady in a pink dress seated on a wall, in a coastal landscape with a distant town, within a circular gilt line and garland roundel, the well edged with a gilt line, the border with five gilt sprigs, gilt band rim (slight scratches to centre, slight flaking to gilt rim)
