CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND MARK, GILDER'S H., PRESSNUMMER 10, PAINTED IN THE WORKSHOP OF J.G. HÖROLDT
Of bullet-shape with dragon spout, painted with scenes based on drawings in the Schulz Codex, one side with a Nubian in feathered headdress and a Chinaman taking tea before a palm tree, the other with a Chinese elder showing fruit to a child, each reserved within a shaped cartouche edged in black and with a further elaborate perlmutter-enriched Laub-und-Bandelwerk, the cover with similar scenes flanking the partially gilt artichoke finial
