Archibald Knox was the main designer for the Liberty & Co. Tudric pewter and Cymric gold and silver ranges, and this monumental clock is arguably one of Archibald Knox's greatest designs. Its form was clearly inspired by the many ancient Celtic crosses found on his native Isle of Man. The Roman numerals on the face and the twinned lines of abalone plaques demonstrate masterful decorative restraint.
