FIRST EDITION. The work includes 'much useful knowledge, descriptions of scientific instruments and mechanical technology. The first two sections of Technica curiosa are devoted to the aerostatic researches of Guericke and Boyle, and the treatise "Mirabilia chronometrica" gives the first description of a universal joint and a classification of gear teeth'.
