Lot Essay

Elie Lambert's life has always been deeply entwined with the equestrian world. At one time the most successful bloodstock agent in Belgium, he has also been a racing journalist and an amateur rider attached to the stable of Le Vicomte d'Hendecourt (gaining his gentleman rider's licence at the age of 18). His work reflects this knowledge and experience, and adeptly captures the excitement of the racing world, with atmospheric compositions, fresh, vibrant colours, and a vibrant, original technique.
