the inclining hour plate numbered IIII-XII-VII, subdivision to quarter-hours, signed CHAPOTOT A PARIS with foliage decoration, shaped gnomon folding flat with floral motif, latitude arc for 0°-60° numbered by 10° subdivided to 5° and 1°, table of latitudes for 18 French cities, finely engraved eight-point compass rose with fleur-de-lys, degree scale divided 0°-90° four times, subdivided to 2°, numbered by 10°, the reverse with table of latitudes for 18 European cities, floral motif engraved to reverse of compass
