A rhinoceros horn libation cup
17/18th Century
Carved following the natural shape of the horn as a tree trunk, the handle formed by two openwork gnarled pine branches continuing over the rim to the interior and the main two sides, one carved in relief with a figure seated on a rock admiring a waterfall, the reverse showing another figure walking through a landscape with a satchel on his back, dry amber coloured tone
