The case inlaid with bands on claw feet, bombé plinth, shaped lenticle of Europa and the bull to the shaped trunk door, arched hood with foliate bracket and pierced frieze and side frets, caddy top with Atlas and herald figures, the dial with an automaton of ships in the arch, silvered chapter ring signed Doms. Molenaer Amsterdam and with roman and arabic numerals, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds, date aperture, month and weekday sectors and moonphase and alarmring, pierced foliate spandrels, the eight day four pillar movement with rack strike on two bells, part 18th Century
