A chocolate pot from this service is illustrated by N. de Castro, Chinese Porcelain and the Heraldry of the Empire, Oporto 1988, p.118, where the author explains that de Saldanha Coutinho was a page in the Royal Household and a son of the Governor of Santa Catarina (Brazil) in 1760. A plate from this service was exhibited Caminhos da Porcelana Dinastias Ming e Qing, Lisbon 1998, catalogue no.54.
