The case attributed to Charles-Armand Marguerat, the clock movement by Angelus, Geneva. Circa 1925
The clock case with blue enamel surround decorated with delicate butterflies, engine-turned sides and supported on square engine-turned columns, the gilt Arabic dial with subsidiary 24 hour alarm disc and blued steel Breguet hands, twin barrels movement with cut bi-metallic lever balance, the top plate stamped ANGELUS NO.600 GENÈVE, the enamelled silver bird box with manual trip slide to the front and decorated with gilt chinoiserie designs against a blue background, conforming enamel cover opening to reveal a singing bird with moving beak and wings; original fitted gilt-tooled leather travel case, winding key
