MARK OF MARC JACQUART, PARIS, FIRST STANDARD, 1798-1809
Ovoid with stiff-leaf borders to waisted neck and spreading circular foot, the spout with leopard's head terminal, ebonised wood handle and finial, engraved below spout with coat-of-arms and motto scroll -- 6¼ in. (16 cm.) high; also another, mark of Jean-Charles Cahier, Paris, First Standard, 1798-1809, vase-shaped with waisted neck and circular foot, the spout with leopard's head terminal, the ebonised wood handle terminating in an applied Egyptian mask -- 6 5/8 in. (16.9 cm.) high
