Lot Essay

Of the many models made by C.F. Martin and Company the OOO-17 could be considered one of the rarest. The first and only example known prior to 1952 is a single instrument made in 1911. In 1952 the model was re-introduced and 25 were produced with production ending that same year.
This example is a 14 fret prototype made in the year 2000 and was never put into production.
