With reclining figure of Dionysos, two seated maenads either side, grape vines in the field, dotted rays on the shoulder; and another Attic black-figure lekythos, with reclining figure of Dionysos, a dancing satyr either side, grape vines in the field, dotted rays on the shoulder, details in added red, circa 520-500 B.C.
6¾ in. (17 cm.) and 5½ in. (14 cm.) high respectively (2)
Provenance
Both formerly in a German private collection, near Munich, formed in the 1960s/early 1970s.
