A SOUTH ITALIAN RED-FIGURE STEMLESS KYLIX
LATE 4TH CENTURY B.C.
Each side with profile female head, hair bound in a sakkos, wearing stephane and earrings, palmette under each handle; and a Roman iridescent glass vessel lid with concave top, and twin double loop handles, circa 3rd Century A.D.

Provenance
The property of a German private collector, inherited from his father, Dr Erwin Hoess, Austria. It formed part of the family collection which was started in the 1850s by Prof. Anton Hoess.
