AN EGYPTIAN ALABASTER SQUAT JAR

With rounded body, gently sloping shoulders and curved rim; an alabaster footed chalice, the bulbous body with tall neck and small horizontal rim, circa 1550-1200 B.C., both 3 in. (7.5 cm.) high; an alabaster jar of tapering form, possibly First Intermediate Period, 3¼ in. (8.2 cm.) high; an alabaster bowl with flat base, 4 3/8 in. (11 cm.) diam.; and a red pottery pyriform jar with grooved encircling bands below the rim, New Kingdom, circa 1479-1292 B.C., 8 in. (20.4 cm.) high (5)
