Depicting part of a funeral scene from the tomb of Hori, painted on mud brick in red, white, orange-red, blue, green and cream, on a light grey ground, with three shaven-headed mourning male figures facing left, their hands raised, one wearing a finely pleated garment, another a plain white garment, the third with naked torso, their flesh outlined in red, eyebrows and eyes outlined in black with additional white to eyes, mounted

From the tomb of Hori, wa'b-priest, Scribe of all the monuments of the estate of Amun, Head of the outline-draughtsmen in the House of Gold of the estate of Amun, (tomb no. 259) at Sheikh 'Abd el-Qurna, Thebes, north of the Ramesseum.

Formerly in a French private collection, acquired in the 1960s.
