LATE 19TH CENTURY, SPURIOUS BLUE INTERLACED L'S MARK, SIGNED MAXANT
Of baluster form, the domed cover with cone finial, above a waisted neck gilt with a musical trophy among foliate scrollwork, the body finely painted with a mythological view of Leda and the Swan, flanked by upright pistol handles molded with acanthus and suspending laurel wreath swags, the reverse with cloud-borne putti holding a burning torch, on a conforming socle and canted square base
