Oblong and on slightly spreading foot, with fluted angles and curved shoulders, with detachable domed oval cover and a sliding base, each long side applied with a portrait bust within strapwork cartouches, the short ends, shoulders and cover each engraved with further strapwork, the base engraved with initials AMMVM, marked on neck, the neck and cover each with a later French import mark
