Illustrated throughout with over 170 full-page illustrations, some of these chromolithographs printed in various colours and gold, some double-page or folding, tissue guards, those for the photographic illustrations with printed captions. (One printed tissue guard torn with loss.) Original green leather, the covers and spine blocked in various colours and gilt, and complete with the metal medallions mounted on the front boards, edges gilt, endpapers printed in silver and gilt (extremities rubbed). FIRST EDITION. THE RARE RUSSIAN-LANGUAGE DELUXE ISSUE BOUND IN FULL LEATHER. Printed for Count Loggin Logginovich Geiden, son of the Kronstadt governor and famed admiral, and both of whom fought at the Battle of Navarino. Complete with the folding menu after Vasnetsov's original design. A lavish publication, which opens with a survey of the coronations of Nicholas's predecessors, and illustrated throughout with views of the ceremony, reproductions of the menus and programs of festivities, and photographic portraits of noble families and dignitaries in attendance.
