decorated in aogai, tortoiseshell, stained ivory, coral, horn and wood, one side with a goose beside sprays of flowering hibiscus and grasses, the other with three wood pigeons perched on a flowering cherry tree, silver rims, the cover finial with a monkey holding the sacred pearl and its young reaching for it, a wood petal formed base above an elaborate carved wood stand -- 28 1/3in.
