A WOOD BOX WITH CARVED WHITE JADE COVER, 19TH CENTURY
the box in the form of a ruyi-head motif, the cover carved in relief with a cat fish issuing clouds of rolling smoke supporting a flowering lotus blossom and vase issuing lingzhi sprays, with a central Shuang xi character (double happiness) hanging from a small canopy overhead -- 5 3/8in. (13.8cm.) wide.
