The circular écuelle with foliage scroll handles enriched in gilding, the shaped cover with an entwined scroll finial, painted in the manner of Henri-Joseph Duvivier with harbour scenes and river landscapes within shaped cartouches edged with gilt scrolls, trellis and flower-sprays, gilt line rims (slight chip to one lobe on rim of cover, some slight crazing to reserves on cover and one side of écuelle, blemish below one handle of écuelle, minor scratching to plate)
