A series of letters to George William Reid (1819-1887), the Keeper of Prints and Drawings as the British Museum, comprising praise for Reid's catalogue of George Cruikshank's work ('I respect Cruikshank's [?genius] deeply -- but alas -- I cannot dwell in the elements he delighted in'), on acquiring a much sought-after book from Reid for his library, and further discussions relating to books.
