On oval base, the stem formed as a kneeling river god with trident, the egg-shaped bowl with detachable cover formed as a winged hippocamp, the base, stem and cover with borders of grotesque monsters and foliate scrolls, finely enamelled in pink, pale blue, red and white, the cover set with pearls and jewels, and with grotesque male masks, the front of the bowl hung with pendant jewel, marked on foot, on rim, on cover bezel and neck
