MARK OF JOHN SEATOUNE, EDINBURGH, 1702, ASSAY MASTER JAMES PENMAN
Tapering cylindrical on spreading gadrooned foot, with central reeded band, the hinged flat cover with gadrooned and baluster finial above applied cut-card decoration, with scroll thumbpiece, scroll handle with beaded rib and further cut-card decoration, engraved with initials, marked near rim and inside cover
