An oblong snuff-box with rounded ends, the hinged cover with raised details and finely painted with The Tsar's Courier adapted from the print by Alexander Orlovskii, the interior painted to simulate tortoiseshell; another, painted with a similar scene, on black ground, with silver interior, the title inscribed in the cover; a large rectangular red laquered box, the hinged cover finely painted with a summer troika scene, with silver paillons around the key-hole; a rectangular blue laquer box, the cover painted with a troika in winter, all marked inside covers; another, painted with another version of The Tsar's Courier; and two studs painted with a dancing peasant and balalaika player, apparenly unmarked
