Original blue cloth, front covers decorated with fine gilt blocks of Toomai and the Elephants and Kaa repsectively, spines gilt-lettered, all edges gilt (extremities just touched, spines very slightly dulled); quarter morocco gilt slipcase. Provenance: V.G.M. (contemporary initials front paste down of each volume).
