QING DYNASTY, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY

Thinly carved, the rounded sides of the bowl are decorated in shallow relief with floral sprays growing from a band of conjoined leaves surrounding the base, resting on a single flower bloom with overlapping petals, flanked on either side of the mouth rim with a pair of handles, each carved in openwork as a single leafy flower spray suspending a loose ring, the domed cover is similarly carved, surmounted with a chrysanthemum finial
