ENGLISH, 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY
A double-ended agate fob seal, with the crest of FitzHerbert at one end, at the other the arms of FitzHerbert impaling Alleyne, for William FitzHerbert, later 4th Bt. (1808-1896) and his wife Annie (d. 1864), second daughter of Sir Reginald Abel Alleyne, 2nd Bt. whom he married in 1836; A gold-mounted fob seal with handle decorated with scrolls and shells, the agate matrix engraved with the arms of FitzHerbert impaling Beresford quartering others for Sir Henry FitzHerbert, 3rd Bt. (1783-1858) and his wife Agnes (d. 1863), 2nd daughter of the Reverend William Beresford, whom he married in 1805; A gilt-metal mounted fob seal, the crystal matrix engraved with the initials 'WF', presumbly for Sir William FitzHerbert, 1st Bt. (1748-1791) after he was created a Baronet in 1794; a gold-mounted fob seal, the crystal matrix engraved with 'William & Annie' for William Fitzherbert, later 4th Bt. (1808-1896) and his wife Annie (d. 1864)
