Of sarcophagus form and painted with red and black stripes, the hinged lid centred by a rectangular tablet and with acroteria to the corners enclosing two compartments with ivory knobbed covers, the front depicting an urn flanked by griffins and the sides with laurel wreaths on green-ground panels, on a plinth base, the compartment interiors previously foil-lined
