The rectangular original bevelled plate in a bead-and-reel border, the open arched cresting centred by a cartouche on a gadrooned plinth, the frieze with a shell flanked by foliage, the sides with ribbon-twist with interspersed husks, above a shaped apron with foliate scrolls centred by a shell, the reverse with pencil inscription 'Left of Cabinet facing Drawing Room', regilt, the cartouche on the cresting possibly replaced
