The body of rectangular design with engraved sunburst reeded, the centre with applied rose-cut diamond monogram forming the initials of H.R.H Infante Fernando Maria of Spain beneath a crown, with pave rose-cut diamond thumbpiece, the sprung hinged cover opening to reveal double cigarette holder compartments

Signed Cartier, London, Paris, number 3043 1404 , French assay marks, fitted leather case; accompained by a photograph by Franzen, Madrid of H.R.H. Infante Fernando Maria of Spain, Prince of Bavaria (1884-1958), in the uniform of the Spanish cavalry regiment Cazadore de Lusitania, inscribed in ink 'To Lord Kintore, Fernando Maria/London 28.II.1911.'
