Lot Essay

Léotard Dancer is a rare figure with only two others known to exist. The only other example with a discus was sold Christie's New York, An Important Collection of French Bronze and Ivory Figures, June 13th 2008, for $290,500. This lot numbered 1 may have been the first to be executed.
