A QAJAR DAMASCENED AND ENGRAVED AXE WITH SILVERED HANDLE, IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
The steel blade with a series of damascened lotus buds to edges, engraved inscription in nasta'liq on both sides, further inscriptions to edges of head, haft fitted with long openwork collar featuring panels of figures, finial with openwork inscription - 28in (71cm) long
