SIGNED MUHAMMAD AL-KIRMANI, SAFAVID IRAN, 16TH CENTURY
Persian manuscript on paper, 4ll. of elegant black nasta'liq on buff ground, three arranged diagonally and the fourth horizontally, a further small horizontal panel with the signature of Muhammad al-Kirmani, each panel outlined in gold and green, around these panels dense gold foliate illumination, laid down between minor blue paper border with gold floral illumination and gold rules on composite pink gold-speckled paper, slight smudging
Calligraphy 4¾ x 2in. (12 x 5.1cm.)
