A MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAID TABOURET WITH THE TUGHRA OF ABDÜLHAMID II

Of decagonal form, each of the ten sides with a central arch, the top richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl, dark-brown and clear wood, the tughra of Abdülhamid II in a decagonal medallion within radiating bands of triangular scales, the rim with further bands of mother-of-pearl inlaid triangles between wood chequered stringing, the arches with spandrels with arabesques reserved on dark-brown ground, the sides with mother-of-pearl and dark wood chequered panel, each leading edge with chequered panel, some minor damages
