Mark of the 11th Artel, Moscow, 1908-1917
Of compressed circular form, enameled with varicolor shaded flowerheads, foliate scrolls and geometric motifs on a gilt ground, the hinged cover inset with an en plein enamel plaque depicting a woman wearing a kokoshnik and traditional dress, with a cabochon chalcedony thumb-piece, marked inside cover and base, the inside cover engraved 'Gladys April 10, 1912'
