A LARGE CARVED LONGQUAN CELADON VASE
EARLY MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY

The elongated globular body boldly carved on the shoulder with a wide band of composite floral scrolls bearing four large blossoms above a band of thin petals on the lower body, the trumpet neck with a band of upright plantain leaves below ribbed bands, all raised on a foot moulded in imitation of a stand, covered with a thick glaze of sea-green tone
