Of oval cross-section, flanked with a pair of elaborate handles, each modelled as a mythical lion with mouth grasping onto the mouth rim of the vessel, the body arched with its hind legs standing on the forehead of a mythical beast protruding from the waisted sides, all supported on four talon-formed feet, the exterior base bearing an impressed apocryphal Xuande mark
