A young gentleman, in black double-breasted coat, white waistcoat, shirt and knotted cravat, short powdered hair
on ivory
rectangular, 2¼ x 1¾ in. (57 x 44 mm.), réverbère gold frame with opaque royal blue enamel border, glazed reverse centred with the hairwork monogram 'RM' bordered with sunburst motifs in the corners
