A rare famille rose octagonal dish
Yongzheng
Delicately enamelled with a leaf-shaped central panel containing a lady leaning against a table and watching young children in an interior with several porcelain jars and scrolls, reserved on a trellis-pattern ground enriched with flowering prunus branches and butterflies in both famille rose enamels and iron-red with gilt, encircled by a chain-motif band round the well, the tomato-red and gilt-ground rim reserved with alternate quatrefoil cartouches in puce and grisaille tones between sets of five smaller vignettes, all below a key-pattern band at the octagonal rim (small rim chips)
