AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORMED GLASS ALABASTRON
CIRCA MID 2ND-EARLY 1ST CENTURY B.C.
Cobalt blue in color, the cylindrical body with a rounded bottom, rounded shoulders, cylindrical neck and wide disk rim, with applied white and yellow marvered threads attached at the rim and wound spirally along the length of the body and tooled into a feather pattern, an applied yellow thread at the edge of the rim, twin dark blue lugs on the shoulders
