A GREEK TERRACOTTA KOUROS
ARCHAIC PERIOD, CIRCA MID 6TH CENTURY B.C.
Standing on an integral plinth with the left leg advanced, his arms at his sides, wearing a chiton with crinkled folds, and a himation with smooth folds over his left shoulder, his oval face with almond-shaped eyes and a slender nose, the lips pursed into an "Archaic" smile, his hair brushed back from his forehead in wavy strands and falling along his back in horizontal ridges
