50TH-ANNIVERSARY SUPPLEMENTARY ISSUE OF NATURE, SIGNED BY ALL BUT ONE OF THE LIVING AUTHORS OF THE THREE PAPERS. This supplement, published to commemorate the publication of the papers announcing the discovery of the structure of DNA, contains facsimiles of the three papers -- 'A Structure for Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid', 'Molecular Structure of Deoxypentose Nucleic Acids', and 'Molecular Configuration in Sodium Thymonucleate'. The upper wrapper of the issue has been inscribed 'With best wishes' and signed below 'R.G. Gosling', 'Herbert Wilson', 'Francis Crick', 'Odile Crick' (Crick's wife, who drew the diagrams for the original paper), and 'Maurice Wilkins'. The facsimiles of the papers have also been signed: the first paper by 'Odile Crick' by the diagram and 'Francis Crick' at the end; the second paper by 'Maurice Wilkins' and 'Herbert Wilson'; the third paper 'R.G. Gosling'. At the end of the article 'Yesterday's research -- today's legacy' is an inscription by Gosling: 'NB The Future's Bright / The Future's Genetics / R.G. Gosling 2003 (plagurised Vodaphone Advertisement!)'.
