Broadsheets (402 x 280 mm). Manuscripts on paper, letterpress broadsides, etchings and engravings on paper and VELLUM, some folded. (Two sheets stained and repaired.) Contemporary Italian vellum binding, red and blue sprinkled edges, (front free endpaper, presumably with evidence of original provenance, removed). Provenance: Sibrium, Milan bookdealers (sold to Gourary 1974).

Collection of manuscript, printed and engraved works, written and published in honor of the election and coronation of Pope INNOCENT XIII (r. 1721-4) and assembled into an album in the same year or soon after. It contains: manuscript title and index; engraved portrait of the Pope, IMPRESSION ON VELLUM BEFORE LETTERS; full-sheet etching of an illuminated monument in Regensburg by ANDREAS GEYER; 9 broadsides of occasional verse, printed in Rome, Velletri and Bologna; proclamation, printed in Avignon; manuscript Latin verse by Girolamo Giuseppe Martelli; engravings of triumphal arches by Pompeo Aldrovandini and Francesco Aquila; etching of the Pope's procession to S. Giovanni in Laterano, published by Luigi in Rome; 6 printed verse broadsides, some in red and black; 36 Latin and Hebrew inscriptions of congratulation and submission (12 leaves); and 15 other pieces of calligraphy and letterpress.
