Banded and cross-banded overall, the rectangular hinged top above four conformingly inlaid sides, with carrying handles, enclosing a later interior fitted with five compartments including an English silver flatware service, mostly London, 1907, maker's mark 'LAC', comprising twelve table knives and forks; twelve spoons; twelve fish forks and knives; a pair of fish servers; twelve butter knives; a meat carving set; two sauce ladles; twelve tea spoons; ten desert forks and twelve spoons; twelve meat forks and knives; and a serving set, marked on handles
