A Dutch Delft polychrome Chinoiserie plaque
Circa 1740
The oblong shaped plaque painted centrally with a bird and butterfly among peony sprays, within a raised trellis diaper pattern border reserved with six cartouches depicting Chinese painting scrolls, the top moulded with a foliate crest pierced with an aperture for suspension, some loss to the glaze along borders
